What Is CBG?

Cannabigerol, otherwise known as CBG, is one of over 100 cannabinoids found in the cannabis family of plants that include both hemp and marijuana. This cannabinoid is found to a lesser degree than either cannabidiol (CBD) or tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). It is only found in approximately 1% of mature plants because, as the cannabis plant grows, the amount of CBG breaks down into THC and CBD. So the highest yield of CBG is found in the younger plants.

A lot has been learned about CBG in recent years, as so much attention has been paid to its sister cannabinoids, THC and CBD, in the past. However, this compound is reported to have an even more profound beneficial effect on the body than the more well-known cannabinoids. What Does Full Spectrum Mean?
