Will THC-Free Tinctures Cause A Positive Drug Test?

The answer to this question is typically "no." Most CBD products, that contain the cannabinoid levels they advertise (hence the important of buying from a trusted brand) of course, should not produce positive drug tests screening for THC metabolites, even in full-spectrum formulas. In a full-spectrum formula, the levels of THC inclusion are so slight that it doesn't typically register on drug screenings. 

However, it is important to remember that rules exist in light of exceptions. 

In sensitive individuals, THC inclusions can build with in the body and fail to properly flush, which can lead to higher levels of THC in the body over time. This is especially true in individuals with higher body fat percentages as THC stores within the body's fat cells for the highest amount of time. 

We always recommend testing yourself periodically when beginning a CBD regimen and making sure to abstain from CBD or THC products for a period of time prior to any scheduled testing. Though it is a rarity to return a positive drug test with only CBD in your system, we believe in the sentiment that you are better off safe than sorry.

All of our products comply with federal law. Many of our competitors who do not test their products or make those tests available may be selling products with a higher Delta 9 THC level than is allowed by law in the U.S. These illegal levels could get the user in legal trouble as well as cause them to unexpectedly fail a drug test. We make it our duty to not only keep up with and comply with federal laws. We test all of our products to ensure that they are legal on a federal level throughout the United States.

We use expensive and advanced extraction techniques. There are a lot of ways to extract the oils from the hemp plant that are eventually made into CBD and Delta 8 THC.

We test all of our products through an independent laboratory. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration does not currently oversee the hemp product industry. This has led a number of unscrupulous CBD and Delta 8 THC vendors to produce products that do not carry the strength of cannabinoid claimed on the label. Even worse, the product may carry harmful or even dangerous elements. The only way to know for sure what you are getting with a CBD or Delta 8 THC product is to insist on inspecting the Certificate of Analysis (COA) that is issued by a third-party lab.
